New Year arrangements

Just like any other country, Japan has its New Year traditions and customs.  Some are interesting, some strange for me.  But what I love most is their New Year floral arrangements.  These are usually placed in the entrance hallway or a prominent arch in their homes.

I came across a display of these arrangements while window shopping one afternoon at Kobe Harborland.
